Does this say anything about where my head is at? Each for its own purpose, some with purposes past, some with purposes present, all with different agendas and audiences.
This blog, for our eLearning course, to comment, model, congratulate, suggest, ponder the progress of our journey together.
Before we commence on our journey, you may find it easier to first define your context.
Who are my learners in eLearning? Some questions I have asked:
- Are they novice or old-hand?
- Are they BLM students, BA students or completing other degrees?
- What are their learning styles? How will they learn best?
- What are their temprament types? How will they interact best with the materials and each other?
- What are their physical computer/infrastructure/bandwidth needs?
- Do they regard their performance as average or super-star?
- Where are they on the scale of technology adoption? enthusiast, early adopter, early majority, late majority or lagger?
- What is their teaching area if they are BLM?
- What is their past eLearning experience?
What questions will you ask yourself about your learners?
This type of verbal structuring of thoughts and questions is how I integrate things best. Sorry, but we are indeed a very mixed bag!!
